The fascinating plant has small rosettes that continually multiply until an area of your flower bed, rock garden or container are spilling over with color and texture. The parent rosettes are the "hens" while the smaller rosettes are the "chicks." This winter-hardy succulent grows in zones 3-8 and doesn't lose its leaves in the winter.
