Blue Fortune Agastache

Description
Butterflies and hummingbirds flock to this hummingbird mint. Its strong, sturdy stems grow high, with bottlebrush flowers that add both vertical and textural interest. A very long-lived perennial for your garden's borders. Provides shelter and protection to birds, and late in the year when food is scarce, it provides birdseed. Easy to grow—it's drought and heat tolerant and thrives in poor, infertile soils. The blooms are fragrant and the foliage, when crushed, smells like black licorice. Makes a pretty indoor cut-flower bouquet and if you want the display to last even longer, use this variety as dried flowers. Deer tend to avoid. Agastache 'Blue Fortune'

Love this plant!

This seem to be a quite hardy plant! The soil in my yard is very poor & we've had a very dry summer, & I haven't always gotten it watered, but that hasn't affected this plant in the least. I was amazed at the amount of first year growth & the abundance of blooms. And attract butterflies, it does! They just swarm around the plant, which is a source of great delight to my little girls.

Of the three that I planted, only one survived. It is beautiful and a very nice addition to the garden. I hate that I didn't have better success. Michigan Bulb has been extremely accommodating in refunding any plants that haven't survived!
