Chinese Lanterns

Description
Unique variety produces fiery orange fruit resembling the tissue paper globes known as Chinese Lanterns. Hardy and easy to grow, this variety adds an attractive spot of color for borders and bouquets or dried arrangements. The inconsequential flowers in spring are white, but the fruit that follows is highly ornamental. As an aggressive grower, be sure to plant where it has room to spread.

I planted these once and they are very invasive!! Once you plant them you have them FOREVER!!!. THEY GO TO SEED AND GROW EVERY WHERE. Took me 4 years to get rid of them. Great for a field and do look like Chinese Laterns and are very pretty.

They will take over like CRAZY. Be careful where you plant it because you'll never get rid of them. They are pretty though.

Yes, they do take over. I plant them in big planter and dig hole for the planter to go into leaving 2 inches of pot above ground. This stops the plant from taking over your garden. They are very pretty and colorful. Always wear gloves when planting.

Very Pretty. Yes they can take over. I 've put mine in a plastic planter. With planter above ground. I stop it where it is.
