European Olive Tree

Description
What's closer than farm-to-table? Backyard-to-table! This European Olive Tree will grow black olives .5" in diameter that you can pick, cure, and enjoy. It thrives best in full sun and year-round warm climates. Once established, this tree is drought-tolerant, and won't be deterred by wind or heat—just like when it grows in its original Mediterranean climates. Plant in acidic, loamy, or sandy soil for best results with plenty of olives. This evergreen tree keeps its foliage all year, with lance-shaped, dusty-green leaves about 3" long. The olives themselves are preceded by tiny, fragrant white flowers. You'll know the green olives are ready to pick when they turn black. Each olive contains a single pit. Olea europaea
