Honeymoon In Vegas Hellebore
Start your spring garden early with cool, sophisticated, mauve-purple flowers. This hellebore (also called a Lenten rose) is very vigorous, and boasts excellent bloom production. It starts blooming at the tail end of winter or early in spring, and keeps blooming for a glorious six weeks. The accompanying glossy, leathery green foliage lasts a long time in the garden, staying attractive year-round in warmer climates. Preferring partially or fully shaded areas, it's an excellent addition to a woodland garden and provides a color pop in the shade of hedgerows and trees. You could also bring it inside for a cut-flower arrangement; one bloom makes an elegant display floating in a glass bowl of water. This hellebore is deer resistant and drought tolerant.
