Pastel Gladiolus Mix

Description
Cream, soft pink, lavender, peach and yellow combine in one dreamy show of pastel perfection. They add a gorgeous, yet easy-growing, soft touch to your garden beds and borders. The way these flowers stack vertically up a stalk draws the eye upward, which is a nice effect for the back of a border. This mix also provides long-lasting beauty in containers, and the upward-facing blooms are striking in cut-flower arrangements. Enjoy this sun-loving mix's long bloom time--starting in midsummer and going all the way to frost. It attracts butterflies in droves, adding movement and even more color to your landscape. Deer tend to avoid this plant.

I saw the picture for these and thought ohmygoodness they're so pretty I have to have them! And when they arrived I was so excited to get them planted. It took awhile but eventually they all grew, then they started to get buds. I was SO EXCITED. The first one bloomed peach (light orange that can almost pass for a shade of pink). Disappointed, but there are 9 other plants, right? Next was yellow. Ok, still 8 to go. Two more peach and two more yellow, and I still don't have any that look remotely like what is advertised. Then, finally, one blooms purple. DARK purple. It's a lovely color, but absolutely NOT pastel. I now only have 3 chances to get the colors I wanted in the first place, and they don't look to be in any hurry to bloom this year. So if you're thinking of getting these, beware. They show you a picture of the glads they know you'll want, then they send the less popular peach and yellow. Granted, this could be a one time thing, and at least they all grew, but out of 10 plants, not a single one has been what I wanted so far.
