White Fringe Tree

Description
White Fringe Tree is a small native tree that is positively breathtaking in late spring when its large airy, lightly fragrant, pendulous clusters of blooms sway in the breeze. An easy-to-maintain, slow-growing tree, it has dark green foliage that turns rich shades of yellow, brown and green in the fall for three full seasons of beauty and interest. Very little care is needed to maintain White Fringe's good looks and charm. It needs only an open area where it can get enough sun and good, moisture-retentive soil. Prune after flowering only to remove dead branches. Chionanthus virginicus
